Transport Manager/ Head of Transport EU (m/f/d)

As Profit and Asset Protection Manager (m/f/d) for our logistics centre in Heerlen (Netherlands), you will be responsible for protecting all assets and minimising losses within our logistics centre.

Your area of responsibility:
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with the company’s requirements and the corresponding KPIs.
- Carrying out investigations and analyses of the root cause of incidents and ensuring that they are not repeated is also part of your remit. It may be necessary to liaise with other departments.
- You will also be responsible for regularly reviewing the SOPs and initiating targeted measures and changes in the event of discrepancies.
- Your role will include checking for losses in the supply chain and liaising with the wider profit assurance team to resolve issues where appropriate.
- You will be responsible for providing technical advice to the wider organisation on supply chain security and risk to ensure that third-party suppliers also comply with JD requirements.
- You will also be responsible for liaising with the DC management team and supporting the strategic development/implementation of other DCs within the supply chain.
- Challenging and ensuring compliance with the policies and procedures within the DCs and the supply chain is one of your regular tasks.
- You will be responsible for developing new and improved methods to protect the supply chain and DCs, as well as conducting spot checks of the epod solution to ensure driver compliance at delivery.

What you should bring with you:
- A good understanding of numbers and data as well as extensive experience in supply chains and logistics.
- You are characterised by strong self-motivation and an independent way of working.
- Ability to deal with incidents at short notice.
- Well organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage workloads, prioritising where necessary.
- Understanding of GDPR and the implications for a business of breaches.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- You have an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to conduct investigations and submit relevant paperwork to HR.
- Knowledge of legislation in relevant countries for security officers in searching/patrolling.
- You have a good command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to travel within the area designated and into the UK for meetings.
