Are you ready to join us as an IT Business Analyst, were you will liaise with our business partners and advise them on the data & analytics solutions and opportunities that will support their strategic ambitions?
The Global Region Data & Analytics department is responsible for delivering all data products within the EMEA & APAC & AMER regions. We are now looking for an IT (Principal) Business Analyst to join our Advanced Analytics group. The perfect candidate is looking for the next step in his/her career with a balanced mix of hands-on applying predictive models and data mining techniques, as well as generating new business demand and focusing on stakeholder management. You are proud, enthusiastic on the work you do and are always looking for opportunities to improve the data products our team makes.
You will facilitate workshops with our internal customers to gather their information needs, then connect with the technical teams to come up with the best set-up on how to implement the solution. You will play a key role in assessing and designing solutions from a functional perspective, while keeping our business partners informed.
A Day in the Life
• You will be the first point of contact for information needs and analytics capabilities towards the business stakeholders. You will need to consult with senior business leaders to translate business goals into data & analytics use cases and communicate insights back to business stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and drive new use cases and data-driven product innovations, including awareness sessions, demos
• Participate as a business analyst in projects related to advanced analytics, this includes deep dives to identify business need and requirements, proposal creation, stakeholder management and reporting out to different levels in the organization.
• Support the team with analytical and technical skills as well as with strong communication skills and a positive can-do mindset
• Engage with IT technical teams and IT cross-functional teams to identify the best solution direction
• Support the end-to-end implementation of predictive models & clustering techniques in production.
• Collaborate with our IT security and privacy department on data privacy and data compliancy related requirements
Must Haves
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Science or Analytics
• An academic education in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, operations research, information management)
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in data mining and modeling techniques such as regression, clustering, classification, NLP
• Extensive experience in gathering, documenting, and challenging business requirements
• Able to explain technical concepts in clear words to non-technical stakeholders
• Good presentation and (data) visualization skills
