A Day in the Life

For our distribution center in Heerlen (HRL2) we are looking for a Logistics Support Officer for our operational processes. In this role you support the daily operational team to solve problems and supporting projects with your extensive knowledge in SAP and other tools.

We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in SAP, has good communication skills and is hands-on to resolve problem. You also have a strong continuous improvement mindset to find the root cause and prevent issues together with our DC Analysts. You are open to work between 8-19h where you will switch with your colleagues to ensure coverage during the shifts. You will work from the Heerlen office and report to the Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Provide support to the department to prevent and resolve operational issues using your extensive knowledge of SAP / BIS.

Maintain complete knowledge of the processes performed within the department and the related procedures and quality standards.

Monitor and execute tasks in accordance with established productivity and quality standards

Use the 5-WHY and or A3 DMAIC methodology to solve problems and drive continuous improvement. Support improvement project and New product introductions for process and system setup.

Monitor and report deviations from planning and objectives.

Organize, document, and maintain standardized ways of working to minimize inefficiencies.

Promote a positive and open working environment. Work closely with other Medtronic locations and departments to solve or prevent problems.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Extensive experience with the SAP system.

Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Fluency in English language (spoken and written), Dutch knowledge is a plus

Available to work in a shift model between 07-22h (future shifts will become closer to each other)

Minimum of 2 years of operational experience in a warehouse and distribution environment.

Experience in process optimization or improvement projects.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Netherlands: 44,000.00 EUR – 66,000.00 EUR | This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
