We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our dietary supplement business in worldwide – based in The Netherlands. This is a senior, full P&L leadership role overseeing all functional areas of the business — from R&D and manufacturing through to sales, marketing, regulatory, medical, HR, and legal. The ideal candidate is a decisive, hands-on leader with category expertise and a track record of leading organizations through periods of change and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full P&L accountability for the business unit, driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and disciplined cost management
- Set and execute strategic direction across all functions: sales, marketing, manufacturing/operations, medical/scientific affairs, regulatory affairs, human resources, and legal
- Lead, develop, and align cross-functional leadership teams to deliver against company objectives
- Drive commercial performance across channels (retail, pharmacy, e-commerce, and/or practitioner channels as applicable)
- Ensure manufacturing operations meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards, including GMP compliance where relevant
- Oversee regulatory compliance across applicable EU/EFSA (and US) and national frameworks governing dietary supplements and health claims
- Partner with medical/scientific affairs on product substantiation, safety, and claims strategy
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development across the business
- Manage legal and contractual matters, including vendor, distributor, and partnership agreements
- Lead corporate restructuring initiatives — including organizational redesign, cost restructuring, M&A integration, or divestiture activity — with minimal disruption to business continuity
- Represent the company with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, distributors, and industry bodies
- Report regularly to the Board/CEO on financial performance, strategic initiatives, and risk management
Required Qualifications
- Leadership: Proven, demonstrable leadership experience managing multi-functional teams and driving organizational performance
- P&L Ownership: Direct, verifiable experience owning and being accountable for a business unit's profit and loss
- Cross-Functional Breadth: Hands-on experience across sales, marketing, manufacturing, medical, regulatory, human resources, xgiwjmb and legal functions
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven experience specifically within the dietary supplements industry
- Restructuring Experience: Demonstrated experience leading corporate restructuring — organizational, operational, or financial
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (MBA a plus)
- Fluency in German and English
- Experience operating within EU regulatory frameworks for food supplements/health claims
