Communication in all its forms is in your blood. Informing, stimulating, convincing, connecting is what floats your boat. You’ll be recruiting and communicating with our prospective and current students, colleagues and our partners in the professional field, knowing how to reach all these target groups in a sparkling way and always in line with Zuyd policy.
You’ll mainly deal with the recruitment and intake of new (international) students. You’ll organise open days, experience days and other recruitment activities. You’ll also be responsible for marketing communications aimed at new students. To this end, you’ll work closely with Zuyd’s Marketing and Communication Services.
You’re energised by the prospect of building a close-knit international community for the new English-language Circular Cities and Communities track (starting September 2025) at the School of Built Environment. To achieve this, you’ll be in constant contact with students and colleagues and maintain ties with the external professional field.

You’re able to connect these parties to each other, building a real community. Naturally, you’ll also manage, coordinate and monitor the student and customer experience. You’ll come up with ideas on how communication – in whatever form – can help us achieve our goals.
Your tasks will include the following:
When people describe you, they use words like ‘creative’, ‘curious’ and ‘interculturally aware’. You pay attention to detail and can work in a structured way (both independently and with others). When you recount something or write something down, people understand what you’re talking about. Your approach is to deliver a good result in a positive and practical manner. In addition, you work and think at higher professional education level. A completed prior education in the field of marketing and communication is a plus, as is excellent command of both Dutch and English.
Meet your team
You’ll work in an independent position within the school. Within Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, you’ll work with a team of other community coordinators. As a community coordinator, you have a flexible and customer-oriented attitude and possess a high degree of independence. You’re proactive, but above all, you have integrity, enthusiasm and a professional attitude. You’re meticulous with a high degree of stress resistance. After all, one of the promises of our strategy is that the human dimension always comes first.

For this position, we’d like to offer a one-year contract worth to start.That means you’re available for a minimum of 20 spread over at least days a week things work out well on both sides, we’d be happy to look into the possibility of an extension.
The salary is up to scale 8 (as laid down in the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences, CAO-HBO). Your salary scale will be based on your prior education and work experience. This means an amount of up to €4,208.14 gross per month based on full-time employment. On top of this, you’ll receive a holiday allowance of 8%, a year-end bonus of 8.3%, plenty of holidays, professionalisation and sustainable career deployment hours and a comprehensive vitality offer. Internal candidates will have their current terms and conditions of employment respected.
