We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accountant to join a global team in analyzing financial information and prepare both internal and external financial reports.

Location: Heerlen, Limburg (NL)
Contract length: 5 months; May 1 – Sep 30 (flexible start)
Salary: from 53K – 66K (including holiday pay) – NOT NEGOTIABLE OVER
Main Tasks
- Execute revenue recognition testing in line with IFRS Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15) requirements.
- Provide, analyze, and validate supporting documentation for auditors related to revenue recognition.
- Understand, assess, and support entity-specific revenue recognition processes, policies, and applications.
- Review customer transactions and contracts to identify differences, exceptions, or errors against IFRS criteria.
- Act as the primary expert and point of contact, coordinating testing activities and driving completion.
- Utilize technologies and automation models, integrating data from multiple sources to improve efficiency and quality.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (Finance, Accounting, Commercial, IT) to understand exceptions, deviations, or alternative applications of revenue recognition policies.
- Apply Big 4–aligned audit methodologies and best practices throughout the testing process.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to improve systems and processes.
- Effective communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree + 2 years relevant experience, or
- Advanced degree + 1 year relevant experience.
